New in from The Spike’s LA correspondent, Becky B: there are machines in LA where you can DIY your own nut butter. “Every kid is allergic to peanuts here so they are obsessed with alternative nut butters,” says Becky.
Is “nut butter” the funniest phrase in the English language? Or does that accolade still go to “pant suit”?
I’m sorry to – I believe the expression is – harsh your buzz Esther, but they’ve had those machines in Whole Foods Market, Kensington High Street since it first opened. Get over there in your pant suit and butter some nuts. (I hope they’re still there.)
oh my god! I’m so behind
I was going to say, but I didn’t want to be a spoilsport, they have them in the Giffnock Wholefoods, so I assume they have them in the London ones too? I’ve never used them, obviously. In fact, I’ve never seen anyone use them. Elaine x
yes Lord it turns out they’re everywhere! still mad though
Plenty of them here in Sydney too. Pistachio butter-best.
Pantyhose. That’s even better than pant suit.
Oh no, am I fired?
errr, no?
