I found a bomber jacket that is easy to wear and grown-up and you’re going to love it – it’s this one from Mango.

Zara have some good ones, too – but the problem with Zara is that their prints are too distinctive; if you buy it, everyone will know you got it from Zara. And while there’s nothing wrong with getting clothes from Zara, you still want people to be surprised when you say “Zara”. Nothing worse than someone saying “That’s nice. Zara?” and you have to go “Yes.”

Anyway with this jacket, they will say, “That’s nice, Zara?” and you can say “No, Mango actually.” And they will be blown away by how alternative and wacky you are.

Although, as a side note on Zara – this pink silk bomber by Zara Kids is probably perfect in every way. It is also £22.99. BUT it is completely sold out in every size. I have put my name down for an email alert when it comes back into stock, but something tells me that it is some sort of fashion/retail conspiracy where the really really nice things are simply never available to the likes of us.
