I found in the back of a cupboard a long-forgotten box of pre-soaked acid peel pads from Philosophy and have been using them every night to great effect.
At £60 for a box of 12 it might seem like a massive rip-off but just think of it as a “course” of mini-facial peels, which will reveal a new face in 12 nights and then you can forget about it and not be staring at a bottle of gycolic acid for the next 6 months and throw away half of.
It’s very simple, you just open the packet, take out the pre-soaked pad, wipe it over your face, enjoy the very mild tinging sensation, which indicates something is happening. Wait a few minutes and then moisturise, go to bed and wake up the next day with your facial skin on the road to a brighter future. Repeat 11 times.
I can HIGHLY recommend the Pixi Peel Pads, you can get them in M&S of all places. They are 20% glycols acid, so very concentrated (need to be rinsed off) and have worked wonders for acne/fine lines on me. And are £24 for 60!
Thanks Louise, these sound great
The Nip & Fab Glycolic Fix pads are on £12.99 for 60. Apart from a slight worry they may be burning your face off, they do really seem to make your skin look brighter and less haggard (I think..)
Cane and Austin retexturizing pads good too (but also bloody expensive). Want to try the Pixi Peel pads as like the Glow tonic.
Have ordered these from John Lewis after reading your article. Hope they work as thanks to a toddler and a 7 month old I am currently getting absolutely NO f*cking sleep and my skin is duller than a dull day in dullsville in winter.
