This waxed coat from Plumo is crackers but also maybe brilliant. Superb if you want the practicality of a Barbour, but not the same connotations – AND this has got a hood! Eat that, Barbour.
I am so in love with this pink cardigan from Madewell. Pink will be everywhere this Spring and this particular blush colour will go with absolutely everything else in your wardrobe right now – even with khaki… think about it…
You have to style this smartly – the wrong kind of skirt or hairdo and you will tip over from stylish to frumpy in a heartbeat. It’s living life right on the edge.
Madewell is a right bitch with its hidden costs: it says here that this is £46 but with taxes and shipping (£10 for standard delivery!!!) it actually comes to about £60.

Graduate cardigan sweater, Madewell, £46-ish
Love the coat. In fact, I love a lot of Plumo, haven’t come across it before, thanks for the intro!
It’s rather a shy little company, but doing very interesting things x
I very nearly bought a dress from Madewell today. 92.00. Went to shopping basket and there was an additional 30.00 added for postage and tax! WTF?! Deleted…an additional third of the cost for delivery and I noticed that their returns policy was horrendous for international customers. What a shame…
Rachel I hear you on all of this. But I think Madewell will probably sort itself out, in the same way that J Crew has and a) be more transparent on its costs and b) be more generous with its returns policy. It’s very early days with its international shipping though, so it’s bound to be less than ideal. Alas it’s the price, literally, you pay for having something no-one else will have… x
I bought the khaki Madewell jacket from net a porter- I was swung by their free returns even though it was slightly cheaper to buy from USA
