New Hush now

Hush Spring 16 stuff has arrived so get on it NOW if you were thinking about getting anything because it sells out super fast.

My 3 hero Hush products are:

The Cotton Slub V Tee, £27. I’ve got hundreds of these in different colours. They are super-flattering and the sizing is very generous. I am a 10-12 and a 34D and take an XS.

I think this dress might be the most useful-looking item of clothing for Spring/Summer I’ve seen yet. (Wear with white trainers and the sleeves rolled up.) £60

Hush accessories are famously great. This tassel necklace makes jeans and a t-shirt feel like you’ve tried.

I’m sure I’m not the first person to point this out, but if you’re a 10-12, you are really unlikely to be a 34. I’m a 10-12 too and I take a 30. Go get the fitting done at Rigby and Peller (there’s one at Westfield if you don’t want to dick around in town), or Bravissimo. M&S fitters suck.

It was Rigby & Peller that gave me the 34D diagnosis…

Haha ok then! They just did such an amazing job on nursing bras for me that I endlessly recommend (Anita flexible underwire nursing bras, revelation). I hate breastfeeding but at least i now don’t have the blobby look.

I’m a 10/12 too and DD cup and I’ve seen all that bra advice but can never go lower than 34 or I’m in pain, whatever the cup size and wherever I’m measured. I’m hourglass (or was before having babies filled my middle up with sand too) and just have quite a wide rib age to match my hips.

All a roundabout way of getting to the fact I love the look of that dress. I saw some pics of Victoria Beckham at her fashion thing and am really tempted by the white trainers, but I live in the sticks and think maybe I’m being ridiculous.

I’m obviously a bit naive then! I was a 10-12 and a 30F before I had babies. Now I’m , err, a 32J, which means I look like a blob in everything except oversized Tshirts. I’m getting my tits fixed for my 40th.

I too live in the sticks and wore my new white trainers on the school run last week. I heard a few quiet gasps but noone stopped me so I take that as a success!!

That made me laugh – quite like the idea of attracting actual gasps.

I’d wear them if I thought I could get to the gate without them being mud-spattered ….

I’d wear them if I thought I could leave the house without them being mud-spattered… (also in the sticks, but the Scottish sticks, which is the stickiest of sticky places).

On bras, can babies make you go up a back size? I’ve more or less returned to pre-baby shape (although not pre-baby texture, sadly), but my bra size seems to have gone from a 32 B to a 34 B, can this be right?

Unfortunately you can go up a back size (or a few) post pregnancy. I did. It’s because your ribcage expands. It’s also possible to be a 10-12 with sizeable knockers.

HELP, Hush sizing advice please? Do you know if the generous sizing also applies to their knitwear? What about shrinkage? I am a 10, but thinking of buying a jumper in a medium to allow for overized-ness and shrinking.

yes I’d probably go for a medium. I don’t like tight knitwear either. you probably won’t go far wrong but if it’s a disaster they’ve got free returns x

I bought the navy dress with stars on after reading this and it is easily the best ‘day’ dress I’ve ever bought. Am currently wearing with leggings, white trainers and a denim jacket and have worn 3 times in the past 10 days. Thanks for the tip off!
