I like the idea of these “fold over”leggings from that otherwise entirely redundant body con fetishist website Baujken. At £55 these are rather steep but if you do have long back disease and want to spare the general public a view of your critical apex, you might just consider it a sort of tax.
These are hilarious! They remind me of those swimming trunks men used to wear in the ’40/’50s which had a modesty panel across the front to prevent anyone having a fit of the vapours faced with a bulging packet..
Critical Apex! What an excellent term
thank you it came to me in a moment of inspiration x
Hmm – reminds me a bit too much of the trousers with miniskirts attached popular in the late 90s. (I had a grey marl pair from George at Adsa. Oh, I was cool…)
yes those were ghastly. sorry 🙁
These put me in mind of a one of those dreadful swimsuit-with-a-skirt-attached bathing suit monstrosities or, even worse, a skort, which is a word that sounds like it should be shrieked, Lady Bracknell style. Both items, I think you’ll find, are beloved in America where puritan modesty rules, particularly amongst the LL Bean-wearing matrons, who are petrified of a bit of good, honest camel toe. For that reason alone I think we should ban all items of clothing with modesty panels, Long Back Disease or not, and run amok in VPL leggings at Hyannis Port barbecues. That would learn ’em.
And don’t get me started on Baukjen, home of cobalt blue heavyweight jersey.
I agree the website is full of terribly thin, miserable looking girls. All exposed clavicles and no meat…. But I just bought a lovely shirt dress, jumpsuit, cashmere jumper from their sale and they are surprisingly good
I am 5’10 and have a long back so I have this problem all the time. I think these leggings have potential! I will await a discount code…
Baujken is really expensive and mega body con but their stuff is so comfy and it washes likes rags. I have a long t shirt from them that I have worn practically every other day in the winter for 5 years and it still looks new.
Emma thank you for this robust defence of Baujken
