On the subject of massive earrings, Anthropologie have got some absolutely fabulous ones in at the moment.
My favourites:
But there are masses more to choose from here. I can sense the designers at Anthropologie being quite relieved that big earrings are back in, being as they are the purveyors of mad colourful art teacher jewellery. And I mean that in the nicest possible way.
The V&A shop often has really lovely earrings – sometimes mad, sometimes really cheap. Sometimes a bit too crafty. I got some zip earrings there that always get positive comments… though they are a bit unnerving.
Emily – I have those same zip earrings from the V&A and I have never got more compliments on a pair of earrings. Especially if you count “wow, are those *zips*?!” as a compliment, which I do. I got some hare ones from there too, which were nice and only slightly Donnie Darko. Hairy Growler (I know, I know, trust me, you can Google it) also do some quite “different” earrings, they are made from repurposed coins and silverware, the kind of thing you might see on a jewellery stand at the Cambridge Folk Festival but never find anywhere else. I just looked and they are based in Cambridge, so there you go.
