And they even look comfortable. Gimme.

Ooh…they look like shoes on the floor of a courtesan’s bedroom in an oil painting, just poking out of the folded and draped curtains of the four poster, where she is prone among dishevelled sheets, looking mighty smug and wearing nothing but a naughty smile.
A must have, in other words.

There’s something wrong with me. I don’t ‘get’ them. I just see 1991, sixth form, and my dorm mate, Pip, in her burgundy satin dress for the Leaver’s Ball. And me in some ghastly velvet and taffeta combo with my black suede court shoes wondering if a boy would ever fancy me. Hard times.
Maybe it’s just the burgundy? Or the satin? I tried to envisage them in a different colour (light blue, hammer acid yellow) but had an equally horrified response so maybe it’s the thick satin….? Troubling.

envisage them with jeans

Nope. Tried it. Didn’t work. Burgundy satin just seems wrong with denim. I clearly have a mental block.

They’re not for me either and I don’t even know Pip.

Any idea on fit? I have fat feet, well wide and bunioned feet at least. I really struggle with the disappointment of ordering beautiful shoes online that I can only get 3.5 toes in.

Caroline if my white Uterque torture devices are anything to go by, these are not for a wide fit…
