I am very pleased to have come across Tilly this year. Her necklaces are beautiful and she herself is a hoot. She has really kindly offered Spike readers a discount code – ESTHERTHEGREAT15 (her choice of words, not mine) which will be valid until this Sunday night.
Here are a few of my favourites from her site:
But have a poke around and see what you like the look of. Her necklaces are all adjustable and come with jump rings, so you can lengthen or shorten as you like in order to wear two or more together (or to wear with other necklaces you have).
I have been asked about necklace sets – that is, a set of joined chains that come as a sort of pre-prepared “layering” – in my personal experience these jumble and tangle up even more to shite than just wearing three separate chains, and I think choosing individual charms and chains is a bit more meaningful, which is what this is all about, folks.
There isn’t really a way to totally stop your necklaces getting tangled. You just have to keep an eye on them and not wear them in bed.
On another note, I freaking hate this Black Friday shite. I’m not really that keen on sales of any sort. I want the thing I want when I want it, I don’t want to wait for it and I don’t want to talk myself into wanting something that I actually don’t, just because there’s 50% off. As far as I’m concerned, if I get to the checkout and something’s on sale – amazing… like those days when you get all the way from Brent Cross to Highgate without stopping at a single red light.
Absolutely all of my attempts to take part in any sale never work and anything I ever bookmark and check back on in the sales is always sold out. The whole thing just passes me by. Am I alone in this?
Great recommendation. Thank you. They are not silly prices as well.
Hooray, thanks so much for that. Love the little arrows. x
Love these!! Might have to be a Christmas present to myself.
Also hate all kinds of sales. Black Friday can especially get in the bin – makes me cringe when we copy the yanks. And sales just make shops messy. And hot. Ugh.
Love this, thank you! Have forwarded to my husband with a strong hint (copied and pasted the exact link) about the necklace I would like for Christmas. Hopefully stating the obvious works. I hate all sales too. Especially when I’ve bought something and then a week later it’s half price!!
Oh thank you! I love the compass and the anchor (possibly because I lack both in life) Emailing husband in 3…2…1
And no you’re not alone. Sales are awful and depressing; like gambling, just enough buzz every so often to keep you going but mostly unsatisfying and disingenuous. I’m avoiding a lot this year, makes the whole thing so stressful.
Thank you for the code – love these necklaces.
Agree with all above about Black Friday – it’s vile, vulgar and a potential danger to all of us capsule folk Xx
The arrow…. and the partridge. They will be mine. Avoid the sales at all costs. Where do some of the shops hide all that manner of shoyt for the rest of the year? One of life’s great mysteries. Thanks for the discount code x
Yep
Thank you for the code though 👍
Agree. Sales make me want to slit my wrists. As for black fucking friday…😤
I never buy anything – particularly clothes- in the sales. If they’re left over in your size, it’s because that shape doesn’t flatter your size. It didn’t get bought for a reason!
Thank you! I found her jewellery through you and am already eagerly awaiting an order, but I also have one of her coin necklaces on my Christmas list so will give this code to hubby…
You should see what Black Friday is like over here (Canada). Our Thanksgiving is in October so it has no actual relevance to us, but our retailers go mad trying to keep up with the U.S. deals and everything is 30-50% off. It’s actually not a bad time for Christmas shopping, if you can do it online from the comfort of your bedroom, but I wouldn’t venture into an actual store for anything…
Yes hate sales too. If something is on sale prob way.overpriced in the first place. I love the odd shops that refuse to.participate in this unseemly black friday stampeed. They stand out as a beacon of good taste among all the tat out there.she said haughtily!)
Black Friday is handy for certain things (but not buying slow cookers or soup makers) – GAP for example has 50% off EVERYTHING in store which makes kids Christmas PJs less than £10 a pair and their hoodies under £15. Both excellent kids presents.
My mother is excellent at sales coming back with treasures at half of half price. I am however shit at sales. Hate them. I like pristine nigh on empty shops with all new stock. It’s a bit like fancy face cream the packaging is part of the joy.
Betty YES
I loath Black Friday. I avoid all shops and delete all my emails with it in the title… Why oh why do we have to copy the US; we don’t even celebrate Thanksgiving…. grrrrrrrrr
Thanks for the code, have Christmas gifted myself 😁 And yes, boo to Black Friday and sales, I’m with #indiefriday which is all about supporting independent businesses (and you get more unique pressies) 👍
God i totally agree. I love a bargain but it’s not a bargain if I didn’t want it in the first place. Useless-Crap Friday.
Ooh thanks, will be wafting it under husband’s nose later
The only thing I look at in the sales is the uncluttered, well-lit rack with the New Collection. Which must be the point of the sales.
Oh man. I was going to be so good but those look lovely…
Tangled necklaces? This is a kind of cool solution.

But everyone, I did get an All Saints leather jacket with more than £100 off. This is literally the only time I have shopped successfully in a sale and it was all down to keeping Capsule.
YAASSSSSSSS
I like pristine nigh on empty shops with all new stock. It’s a bit like fancy face cream the packaging is part of the joy.
