These arrived today as the clear winners of the nude-platform-espadille hunt; they are the absolute A1 boss of smart summer espadrilles, gorgeous, really comfortable, ankle-slimming; worth every one of the £105 they cost. I am so, so happy!
Yes obviously not for all day, every day due to super-soft blush suede upper – only for smart lunches and parties, but utterly dreamy and perfect for it.
They are lovely! I have my eye on the navy version direct from their site. I think having a bit of a platform helps to keep them clean too x
Very pretty blush pink
They are fab..but my question is..do the backs not flop down or slip off when you are walking? I seem to have bad experiences with this type of footwear.:-(
not on me – you might have a narrow heel though…?
Were these a gift? No judgement if so, I’m just interested to know before i buy…
No – I should be so lucky! – if they were I would say.
Thanks Esther, appreciate you getting back to me! It can be a bit of a minefield the whole “gift/ad” thing – so thanks for being upfront x
I have a pair from this brand (not the same – they’re more like espadrille slides) and the are the MOST uncomfortable shoes ever. Impossible to wear, in fact. Such a shame, because I love them. I hope these are better. x
Oh no what a disaster! God I hope mine remain comfy…
Just read your husband’s column …. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ESTHER! Hope you have a lovely kebab tonight:) X
LOL! thank you… mmmm kebab and red wine… uuhhnnnnn
So so annoying that they only go up to a 41 😩 I’m 5ft 11 with size 42 feet, not big for my height and so often I can’t get the good shoes.
Oh Jo I am very sympathetic. I know a lot of women with feet outside the normal range (big and small) and it’s terribly frustrating
Hi Esther – but are the soles very heavy. I’ve just had to send back some lovely ones from somewhere else because although they were the right size they kept slipping off.
Yes platform soles can be a little heavy, the Seven Boot Lane ones suffer a bit from that too
and also I must say… I’ve just retried mine on in a bit of a panic and they don’t slip off my feet one little bit. It’s possible that you have dainty narrow ladies’ feet and I have solid farmer’s feet though…
Wimpy, shallow feet is what I’ve got. Such a bore.
Happy birthday Esther!
