There is up to 50% off some things… it’s a good one. Sorry for speed I haven’t checked the discounts on all these below… but have a rummage and you will turn up a gem. Look out for big colourful knits, chunky rollnecks, climbing boots, sparkly NYE tops, fun fur, wide belts, weird ugly things that teenagers would like (for teenagers in your life). Go! xxx
Get some black pointy boots if you haven’t already – it’s a quick way to modernise all your outfits. A classic round-toed black ankle boot is still lovely, but these are a bit more now.
Chunky, colourful knitwear is also something to look out for – this blue sweater looks much more expensive than it is – this charcoal sweater is the sort of thing fashion editors wear with black skinny jeans and white trainers and about a million silver earrings.
You could pick up this now rather famous star-print maxi skirt for a song and have it adjusted by a tailor if you are not a size 14.
If you’ve been dithering over a short faux fur coat, now’s as good a time as any to have a go at it. (You can send it back)
You are wonderful, because of your heads up I loaded up my basket last night with things for my (young and fashionable) sister in law. Got everything I wanted and could get her more than usual because of the discount. Thanks to you I am doing brilliantly at Christmas shopping, it’s our first on a tight budget as we have only one salary and a house rennovation going on so I can’t thank you enough. Also my beauty pie order arrived this morning so I feel like I’ve had a treat too!
wahoo! xxx
My twelve year old daughter is desperate for a huge puffa jacket this year, the puffier the better, and also a fake fur coat. TopShop petite size 4 is perfect for her as it also feels grown-up and is not covered in unicorns which a lot of ‘kids’ clothes are. Thank you for the heads up on this!
yay, I just got the star print maxi skirt in a 12, and they had a few left! Thanks Esther
I’m giving Philip Green’s shops a miss at the moment, I don’t feel inclined to spend my money there.
Sheila of course we all think Phillip Green is totally horrendous and it’s understandable that you want to avoid his stores. However, boycotting Topshop won’t really affect any change, even if we all stopped shopping there the only people who would suffer would be the thousands of other employees. So by all means don’t buy from Arcadia group as a personal protest, but do please be sure to also sign a petition to take away his knighthood as well, because that is an action that will ultimately land an actual blow. https://www.change.org/p/david-cameron-mp-remove-sir-philip-green-s-knighthood
Esther you are a veritable Christmas Angel of goodness. Bargain Coat ordered! Xxxxx
