I know I wasn’t going to go on about frocks this year (much) but LOOK at this fabulous copycat dress I found.
This is £700 from Selfridges, from a label called HVN, which I’ve always thought was insanely overpriced.

And this is £245 from Fabienne Chapot on Asos. Okay, still not cheap, but they both do the same job, if you need a special dress to do that kind of job. (Summer party, speech day, even a wedding.)

It’s good-bye from me for a bit, then – Easter holidays call. See you on the other side, if the nits don’t come back in a sort of nit-vengeance type thing and eat us all alive.
You can get similar at https://www.finerylondon.com/ie/products/sabine-multi-coloured-wrap-dress?taxon_id=14 at a fraction of the cost!
Spikers, if you are able to spend that on a dress, could I suggest finding a good local dressmaker? They won’t charge you as much as that, and you can get something that is made to fit your body instead of ready to wear. It’s a cute dress but wouldn’t be that hard to make or to fit.
Funny you should say that! I’m about to make a dress inspired by this post, using an old duvet cover which belonged to my grandparents (I know, equal mixture of me being weird/Maria Von Trapp-esque) and a combination of skirt/blouse sewing patterns I already had. Cost neutral!
I had wallpaper identical to the first one. IDENTICAL. How very odd. I do not wish to wear such a dress that’s for sure!
