I don’t know how this Habitat laundry bag turned up in my house – one day it wasn’t there and then one day it was. It was not, to my knowledge, sent by a PR, although that is always a possibility. But I want to tell you how much joy it brings me. I LOVE this laundry bag.
We take it whenever we go away, it folds down to nothing in the corner of a suitcase. On holiday, I hang it on a doorknob and it acts as our laundry bag while we are on holiday and also takes all our dirty laundry on the way back. Once home I can take it directly out of the suitcase and straight to the washing machine.
It seems to have an endless capacity and there is something just so incredibly pleasing about it. I honestly can’t explain what, but there it is. Some things do defy explanation and there is little bother trying.
I do a similar thing using bag bags – the ones they put your bag in when you buy a rather lovely, expensive one. I’ve a huge Mulberry one I’ve had for years, hangs rather well on a door knob and, as you say, straight to the washing machine when we return. I know you’re supposed to keep your bag in them rather than your dirty knickers but hey ho, who ever does that? Sarah
only total mentalists. although the dust bag is handy if you want to sell the bag later
I love this! In desperation, last week we used one of those orange Sainsbury’s bags for life for our epic dirty washing collection. This is much more stylish 🙂
Riffing on a theme here, I use the children’s annoying backpacks they’re given every sodding birthday (think: Frozen, Barbie etc) for the family toiletries when we go away. They’re conveniently sized to a) hold full size bottles of shampoo and b) lurid enough that you remember them when packing.
How is this bag anywhere near big enough to hold a family’s laundry for a week+??? I have just returned from a week away, A WEEK! and had so much laundry it took a full suitcase. I have a very messy 3 year old though, a quite messy 5 year old and a not so messy 7 year old. And two adults who are always impeccable (lol)
